Position: Resource Mobilization Officer
Reports to: Manager Membership Service & Institutional Development
Job Summary: To coordinate, monitor project implementation and provide technical support to staff and members in resource mobilization and management of grants in line with donor guidelines and ULGA Policies.
Key Roles and responsibilities
a) To monitor and report on progress of implementation of projects against agreed work plans and budgets.
b) To provide leadership in resource mobilization and advise management on management of the resources.
c) To consolidate and prepare timely accurate financial donor reports in line with donor guidelines and ULGA policies and procedures.
d) To lead the development and implementation of country program resource mobilization strategy in line with ULGA Strategy.
e) To coordinate the management of project related documents, maintain project records and provide status updates to donors when required.
f) To Carry out Organizational tasks, building relationships, research and records keeping.
g) To develop and manage ULGA’s donor relations in line with fundraising policies and strategy.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
a) Degree in Commerce, Development Studies, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Financial Management or Accounting from recognized university.
b) Relevant professional qualifications and training in Project planning and management, monitoring and evaluation are added advantage.
c) Additional Training in Research, facilitating and Organizing trainings
a) At least 3 years of working in fund raising, accounting and finance preferably with an NGO.
b) Knowledge of donor financial accounting procedures and operations of sub grant partners/Local Governments or Community based organizations.
c) Knowledge of budgeting and budgetary control, proposal writing, Analytical Skills and Asset/Inventory management.
